Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced team supporting exceptional food service for our guests.

Position Details:

• Full-time or part time seasonal position
• Due to the nature of the role you will be required to be available for working evenings, weekends, bank and school holidays

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including pot wash, food preparation areas, storage rooms, and waste areas
• Wash and sanitise dishes, cutlery, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
• Ensure a constant supply of clean equipment to support kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required
• Safely handle and dispose of waste, recycling, and food waste in line with procedures
• Keep floors, walls, and surfaces clean and hygienic at all times
• Follow all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, including correct PPE use and COSHH procedures
• Support stock organisation and deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly
• Assist the wider kitchen and hospitality team as needed to ensure smooth service

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Teamwork skills and a reliable, punctual approach
• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
